Inspired by the wetlands of Corrientes, located on the eastern shore of Argentina, Iberá depicts an exuberance of floating islands where only the spirit of nature is present. A stag rests in the river while a doe tents to her fawn. Sounds of water, wild animals and insects co-mingle in harmony conjuring a scene of serenity. Matched by a soft color palette, the variety of caranday trees decorate the banks of the river adding a mysterious depth to the background. This scenario is a celebration of the wonder and beauty of this monumental landscape, which is only found in the deep Paraná river.
